The Digital Library on the Camorra and on the culture of legality is underwritten by the Department of Modern Philology of the Frederick II at the University of Naples. The project brings together experts and scholars from different fields in order to illustrate the Camorra, but more importantly to avoid the risk of the dispersion of documents which, over the centuries, have narrated its development and its intertwining with the city’s history. In the Pessina Hall of the Frederick II campus of the University of Naples was presented theproject conceived and directed by Pasquale Sabbatino, as head of the underwriting Department, and made possible thanks to the financing by the Social and Human Sciences and by the Frederick campus and by the Office for Education, Training and Labor of the Campania Region, under the auspices of the Region of Campania and under the heading of the “Open School” Program. Historical texts, films, music and figurative arts have been brought together in this project with the intent of examining the phenomenon from all sides.
