The Convent of Santa Maria del Soccorso, founded in 1500, is located in Via
Roma. Currently, it is utilized as a city hall. The Dominican friars carried out their
assistance operations to terminally ill patients in the absence of priests from ordinary clerical
ranks. It contains remnants of frescoes dedicated to Dominican saints.
The Church of the Rosary (located in the same street, Via Roma, which also dates back to 1500), is the Church's
property. It contains some of the paintings by Coppola and Catalano depicting the Madonna of the Rosary as well as an
Annunciation. The Church was deconsecrated until 1935 and equipped for a lengthy period of
time as a wood storage area.
