The Convent of San Domenico (formerly Santa Maria Annunziata), in the Nazario Sauro
Riviera, was founded in 1517. It is the Municipality's property and it currently is used
for public offices. The cloister contains frescoes, and in the past it has been used as a
public school.
Also in Gallipoli, near the above-mentioned Convent, lies the Church of the Rosary, founded around 1600 and rebuilt a century later. It
contains altars, paintings and statues by various artists.
