Sternatia, Convent of Santa Maria di Tricase

The Convent of Santa Maria di Tricase was founded in 1553 and rebuilt in 1709 in its present-day location at the heart of the residential area. The convent was founded by Vito Antonio De Riccardis, and is now used for offices and as a public space. The adjacent Church of Santa Maria di Tricase has recently been the subject of important restoration works, which have included the replacement of the flooring.
