The Museum of Roviano is housed in the historic baronial Palazzo Brancaccio, which dominates the town and the middle Aniene Valley. Its extensive collection includes evidence of an entire civilisation, the peasant civilisation, which is investigated in all its possible aspects. The visitor will find not only the testimony of ancient crafts, but the remains of an entire world which, in just a few years with the advent of modernity, has radically changed old habits and balances. In summer, the beautiful courtyard of the palace becomes a place of open-air culture equipped with a stage and seats, and hosting local theatre groups and musical concerts. Thanks to the Museum, the community of Roviano has thus reclaimed space it was denied until the mid-20th century.
