3D model representing the bronze statuette of Resting Hercules, or Hercules Curinus, exhibited in Chieti, in the National Archaeological Museum of Abruzzo Villa Frigerj. It was found in 1959 on the upper terrace of the Sanctuary of Hercules at Sulmona (L'Aquila, Abruzzo, IT). Dated to the III century B.C., the sculpture (bronze, lost wax casting) represents a bearded Heracles in heroic nudity, with the left arm resting on the club covered by the leontè. The small bronze faithfully reproduces, in its small size (39 cm in height) and with exceptional quality, a work by Lysippus (4th century BC), known by three iconographic types and numerous replicas. On the circular base, made of a different bronze alloy from the one used for the statuette, a silver inscription refers the dedication of Peticio Marso, dated to the 1st century A.D: M (arcus) Attius Peticius Marsus v(otum) s(olvit) l(ibens) m(erito).
