Detail of the frescoes of the twelve months with their relative town and country activities, in the Torre dell'Aquila in the Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento. The cycle, commissioned by Giorgio di Liechtenstein is attributed to the Bohemian Venceslao, court painter of the patron. The detail shows the month of august and its zodiac sign of Virgo as shown by the inscription on either side of the sun in relief, above. The activities of the month include gathering and transporting wheat, while the scene regarding the activities of the Lords seem to be falcon training
